Despite the challenging weather of the last few weeks, Spring is approaching.

We’re certain we’re not in the minority when we say we are looking forward to longer days and a change in the seasons.

Luckily there’s plenty going on in Swansea and Cardiff this Spring to keep us all entertained.

Whether it be days to entertain the little ones over the Easter Holidays or alternative fundraising events there's certainly something for everyone.

Shows and Performances

If you’re an avid theatre goer, then you’re in luck this Spring. There is no shortage of exciting upcoming performances in Swansea and Cardiff.

The classic love story Dirty Dancing comes to Cardiff Bay towards the end of March for 6 spectacular nights. Full of passion and romance, the record-breaking musical is even better than before in this all new production staged at the Wales Millennium Centre.

Continuing with more theatre classics, the Wales Millennium Centre will also stage the smash hit musical, Sister Act, fronted by Alexandra Burke (The X Factor, The Bodyguard). Based on the famous film featuring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith, the musical is guaranteed to be a hit.

The WMC doesn’t stop with the range of fantastic shows this spring with showings of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and many more.

Obviously Easter is a big part of the season and Cardiff and Swansea are not short of events to celebrate the event with the little ones.

The Gower Heritage Centre, Swansea, will be hosting an Easter Fun event from the 8th to the 23rd April. Meet Alice, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit (their special Easter Bunny) and join in with a whole host of egg-tivities!

The Cardiff Castle Easter Trail is another chance to join in with the fun from the 8th-23rd April.

Find the answers to the puzzles in both the house and the grounds of the castle and win an Easter prize. Normal admission or a valid castle key/ season ticket plus £1 per trail including a prize.
